Okay, so not the most challenging of models to paint but no doubt a great boost to any dwarf force – this mechanical war machine from Demonworld (Ral Partha Europe) is still a very nice model – and pretty large to boot.
I went a tad further and magnetised the arms so that they can be animated, removed or swapped out for other arms/weapons (there is a version with hammers…).
Okay – raised arm ready for chopping…
… chop coming …
… almost chopped …
CHOPPED!
Ooops.
(Update: 08/03/17) By popular demand – (okay, two people) – an animated version of the above 😉
For scale with a Demonworld dwarf (generous 15mm). Clearly shows what a big brute he is.For scale with a Hasslefree Elf. Big enough to play with 28mm too in my opinion. A mechanical construct for Frostgrave?
Great stuff as usual Jimboba.
Could even add gatling guns for a steampunk behemoth. I love magnets as they add a ton of versatility even to vechiles as you may have seen on my IFV & AFV.
Thanks. And agree. I’ve a load of weapon array options from left over Epic Titans and the like that could well do the job. Good idea. In fact he could proxy as an Epic Gargant or similar… love a good double-duty mini!
