I was looking to try some more ‘challenging’ miniatures and pulled this trio off the painting queue to accommodate. Left and right are Cadwallon miniatures from the defunct Rackham Miniatures. Hamish in the middle is from Red Box Games.
Overall mixed results.

Isabeau below was mixed in that I liked how the cloak turned out but I was trying for a ‘blood’ type armour (think Gary Oldman’s Dracula) but it’s not quite right.

Ahsa Ruyar, from Rackham Miniature’s Cadwallon range – again mixed. I like the clothing but those spectres didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped.

“Hefty Hamish” by Red Box Games. Purchased via Hasslefree but can’t find him on their site at the moment. I thought he would make a good ‘not so good’ henchman for Frostgrave. The freehand shield was a bit of a pain but pleased with the rest of him.

So despite years of miniature painting I have still a lot to learn. Which is exactly as things should be.
