Loyalty is my middle name. And it pained me to find these poor forgotten souls mixed up with some 20mm Dark Future miniatures. I’ve had them for well over 20 years. Traveler figures. I’m sure the chap on the far right was a special limited edition that came with a Traveller rule box set.
Well now they are a group of mid-tech, upstanding (as opposed to untrust-worthy), adventurers. Couple more to follow. Transport is a Tango’ed Hotwheels (could be Matchbox – when I say one or the other is could be either).
Love, love, these sculpts from Critical Mass Games. Assassins, mercs, marines, elites. These can be any of them. Liked the paint scheme on the CMG site enough that I pinched it.

If you are going to have a world full of riffraff, mutants, raiders and mercenaries you need some tough police force. Look no further than MegaCity’s finest. Classic miniatures still available. (I owned some of these decades ago and must have passed them on. These I picked up at this years Carronade at the bring and buy – serious stripping and repaint needed – recently placed an order for a couple of bike officers – can’t help myself…)
Vehicles are Hotwheel repaints. I realise the paint scheme doesn’t tie in with the law officers but I came across it during a Google research and liked it. So borrowed it.

You’ll all think me a Khurasan fan-boy as here are some more. I am, but equally a fan-boy of many other creatives too. It’s just the way they’ve been picked up to paint. These are more military than the others. I’d read on a blog how tricky urban camouflage was to pull off at 15mm so had to have a bash. I’m very happy with the result. The first squad are identified by their ‘NATO’ helmets. The mech is a straight up BattleMech and the transport a repaint Hotwheels which I’ve seen many gamers use – because it’s really good!

I’ll be honest. I keep getting Critical Mass, Ground Zero and Khurasan mixed up sometimes. All offer such good ranges and I bought a bunch from all three at the same time…
Here are the Khurasan guys.
Two shots of Ground Zero Games mercs/bounty hunters/interstellar riff-raff. Thanks to PF for correcting me here. These chaps are available from Critical Mass Games, not GZG. PF should know, as he sculpted these amazing miniatures! You should check out PF’s site. It is full of 15mm Sci Fi goodness. HERE.
More on the way. The recon truck is a touched up Hotwheels. Took 60 seconds that one.
No not the rock band but this mishmash of spacefarers. I believe the centre 3 are inspired by a cultish westernised tv show but cannot see the origins of the big guy or the bot. Any suggestions?
Sold as a set by Khurasan. The vehicle in the back is a repaint of a toy I picked up ages ago. Part of a set that was contained in a fold out planet. I can’t recall the make or range. Googled it!
