It was by pure coincidence that I had been reading a volume of Conan stories. I’d never read them before. Then came along the recent Conan Kickstarter. I said to myself, “Nah, I’ll do that in 15mm and save the money/painting time for something else”.
I picked out a couple of Conan look-a-likes from the amazing range from Copplestone Castings that I’ve had waiting in the queue for a while. Had to have a Belit as well. I’ve said in the past how impressed I have been with this range of models. Painting these 3 was fun and turned in to a bit of a ‘flesh-tone and blending exercise’ in 15mm.
PS. The “Crom, that looks painful” title refers to the popping muscle tone of these men. Total fantasy.
Anyway, despite my initial disregard for the Conan Kickstarter, the more I looked and saw how it was growing and how fine some of the sculpts were, I caved in. How could I not? Roll on October…
