No doubt great additions to the ‘back-burner’ project to do Zombicide in 15mm. Which reminds me – I’ve not posted anything to do with the hordes of 15mm zombies I’ve painted up…
They are from Rebel Minis, a stalwart source for 15mm goodness.

I’m not a terribly focussed terrain builder/maker as is probably evident from the end results of my tables. They tend to evolve and acquire increasing amounts of clutter over time without a great deal of consideration for consistency – I’ll mix resin, plastic, card, paper and foam core with 2d and 3d to suit.
The base for this table are 10″ square wooden panels. They were cut down from ‘left-over’ slotted panels used on wooden wine cases that I use as shelving for paints and miniature storage. They have a magnetic sheet covering and on top of that I printed out a portion of Pwork Darkburg paper terrain battlemap. Very Mordheim in flavour.
Some of the buildings and features appeared on another recent ‘Fantasy Venice’ attempt which follows a similar theme to this setup.
Some German Infantry (plastic HO/20mm scale) test out some Dave Graffam paper ruin terrain that has been based and bulked up with foam core. In the foreground a lone Splintered Light hero awaits a Blue Moon werewolf’s advances.
Needlesstosay, these guys are both cute and horrible at the same time. No doubt exactly as they are meant to be. It doesn’t take a leap of imagination to see how they can be re-purposed for a whole range of genres let alone the 15/28mm flexibility.
Described by CP Models as Big Eyed Aliens – which they certainly are – but I’m sure I’ve seen their likes before but can’t quite put my finger on it…
Popular TV aside, these fellas were an impulse buy when shopping at CP Models a while back. I thought, “Okay, they’re 28mm but with monsters and aliens of this ilk, who’s to say they are out of scale with 15mm fellows?” At £6 for all four in the set, well… I couldn’t resist.
If you like painting flesh/skin tones then these are fun. I tried to give them unique head ‘patterns’ which works in the flesh but not so clear in the photos. One of the pics shows them with a Clear Horizon HADES team member. If I were him, I’d not be looking so cool. (More on those particular chaps soon.)
I was just scanning the Media Library and there a few pictures in there to post that didn’t really have enough clout to justify their own dedicated post so I thought I’d do a bit of a random medley just to get them online. Apart from the 15mm there is little theme going on here…
I was in one of those moods where I just fancied painting a few random miniatures and testers. I had a few barbarians to do – Copplestone, Splintered Light and TTG I think (the rubbish female – I wondered if paint would resurrect an otherwise underwhelming miniature – it didn’t).
Also pulled off the shelf were some ‘experiments’. A Reaper Bones warrior, a trio of Egyptian undead from the Age of Mythology board game and a demon from some other board game which I forget the name of at the moment (I don’t have that or AoM, figures bought as sprues). Also a repaint of a toy from my son’s more youthful days. I thought it would make an interesting creature. Remain a bit too cartoon like for my tastes though..
